Compatico Culture(Match Etiquette)
Our services are built on a culture of mutual respect and a reciprocal etiquette of privacy, honesty and empathy that we ask all of our members to embrace. The Compatico Culture has been designed to ensure that your matchmaking experience is positive, empowering and builds your confidence and enthusiasm for dating.
Even if your date is not ‘the one’, we aim to ensure you’ll value and enjoy the experience. Our curated singles events are the ideal way to practise your skills, meet like-minded people and have some fun!
The Compatico Culture is ‘one match at a time’. We believe that focusing your attention on one potentially intimate relationship at a time is respectful and has the best chance of success.
Our members have careers and profiles that depend on reputation, so discretion is a fundamental expectation for all who join Compatico. It is our policy not to provide surnames, company names or employer names: we will only pass on pre-approved personal details once both parties have agreed. If you receive contact details for a potential match, these details are ‘for your eyes only’ and must be kept strictly confidential.
For your safety, Compatico’s policy is strictly ‘vetted members only’. That’s why a non-negotiable condition of our membership is that all of our members complete a Ministry of Justice security clearance. We use Staff Checks NZ to provide this service.
We know that some of us can feel nervous about dating again and may need a little more time to warm up. To give you the best possible chance of success, we strongly recommend a two-date minimum with our Compatico’s matching service before you decide to proceed (or not) with the recommended match.
Our Compatico Culture focuses on being emotionally compatible and our team of experts take our craft seriously. If you’re looking for a trophy partner, a quick fling, or a one-night stand, you’ll find that other dating services are better suited to your needs.
Our Culture calls for mutual respect, good manners and common courtesy. This includes turning up to your planned date, staying the duration of the date and following up promptly. If, for some reason, you are unable to connect with your potential match, please inform your matchmaker.
We believe transparency is integral to a successful match. This includes open and honest communication about past relationships, marriages and current partners – and, just as importantly, giving honest feedback after a date. When you’re honest, you’re showing up as your best self.
Every date is an important part of our curated plan for a successful match. We ask our members to carefully consider any decision to cancel as you may disappoint someone special or jeopardise a potential true match. In those unavoidable occasions when you need to cancel or postpone a date, please give at least 48 hours’ notice.
While profile photos are not mandatory for Compatico members, a good image can increase the likelihood of engagement. At Compatico, we require all photographs used for dating profiles to be a true and authentic representation of our members. To ensure your image is consistent with our style guidelines, we offer a suite of photography packages (as optional extras). Note: a professional ‘Express’ or ‘Ultimate’ Capture Me photoshoot is included in the Platinum – Match Me membership.
Like anything in life, the more effort you put in, the bigger the reward. Please be prepared to invest time into developing your new relationship. And be patient.
