The Company won't use or disclose this information for purposes unrelated to the Company’s service without your permission, unless this is required for fraud prevention, law enforcement purposes or by law.

However, the Company may still use and share this information where that information is in anonymised form (e.g., aggregated information that no longer identifies or references you). The Company may share non-personally identifiable information (e.g., aggregated information about you that the Company combines together so that it no longer identifies or references you), for industry and market analysis, demographic profiling, marketing and advertising, and other business purposes.

Personal information submitted to build your profile and find your match may be accessed by the Compatico team and trusted service providers acting on the Company’s behalf. The Company will only share your profile information with a potential match with your consent. Your consent to share an approved profile with a potential match is deemed to be given once you approve that profile.

Notes made by a matchmaker or the Company about you may be personal information. They will be protected under this Matchmaking Information section and handled in accordance with your rights under the Privacy Act 2020.

Your submitted profile information and any associated notes are distinct from your activity whilst browsing the website and will be held in the strictest confidence as outlined in this policy.

Service Providers and Artificial Intelligence

Compatico may share personal information with trusted service providers, including AI-enabled tools, where reasonably necessary to provide or support its services. Currently, this may include to record or transcribe a member meeting and an AI-assisted tool to help staff prepare or update a member profile. Before recording or transcription begins, Compatico will tell you and obtain your agreement. Staff review AI-assisted content before it is used.

Some providers may process or store personal information outside New Zealand. Compatico takes reasonable steps to select providers with appropriate safeguards, provide only what is necessary, and require the information to be processed only for services provided to Compatico, unless the law permits otherwise.

We have implemented world-class best practice appropriate technical and organisational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, please also remember that we cannot guarantee that the internet itself is 100% secure.
